People’s Artist Bach Tuyet played monk Tieu Kinh Tam in the play Thi Mau Going To Temple. The audience loves her very much. She sang live, she acted real. Her voice was warm, clear, passionate and touched everyone’s heart. Her singing voice is very melancholy, but elegant and amazingly delivers the character’s mind.
Incredibly embodying the character, her monk Tieu Kinh Tam was very calm. Her serenity came from her posture, walk, and speech. Monk Tieu Kinh Tam was at first surprised, then worried, then became helpless when she realized she could not change Thi Mau. Every detail was performed beautifully through her vocabulary and physical expression. It was because the character is closely related to the actress – a Buddhist disciple.
People’s Artist Bach Tuyet said she was very happy since it has been a long time for “the Moon to come back to the Thuy’s garden”. Through the time away from stage, she realized many things. The Buddha had said “love and hate are the unusual things” in this world. She was not bothered because she knew after the crescent lunar there will be a full moon. She was happy because she had a big Buddhist theme performance for this Lunar New Year. She loved this character so much because she used to watch many other actresses played this classic role before. Now she put on the brown robe and performed it live on the stage for many audiences.
Thi Mau, the role of actress Thanh Kim Hue, was quite a flirt. The throw and catch skills between the two golden actresses won over the audience. Young actresses would probably bring the audience new ideas, but to provide an insightful satisfaction, make the entire theatre silent, and earn the admiration from the audience, it is the golden actresses, particularly People’s Artist Bach Tuyet and artist Thanh Kim Hue. They are very professional.
